UPDATE: One Man Dead In Single-Vehicle Crash On Main Street

Update 11/22/21: One man is dead after suffering a medical episode and crashing his vehicle on Main Street in Binghamton on Friday.
Binghamton Police say 38-year-old Scott Randolf was driving the vehicle when he suffered a medical episode and crashed into a light pole outside Bates Troy dry cleaning.
The crash occurred around 8:45 a.m. and Randolf was pronounced dead on the scene.
Binghamton Police say no other vehicles or bystanders were hit.
Randolf has been identified as a firefighter for East Maine Fire Company. The department posted a statement to their Facebook page with details for Randolf's memorial service.
Original Article 11/19/21: A portion of Main Street in Binghamton is blocked off while police investigate a car crash. Several police cars and the Crime Scene Unit are on scene.
A Fox 40 reporter on scene observed a vehicle in the middle of the street, with the front smashed and the front passenger door ripped off. Debris, including a tire, could be seen in the Bates Troy parking lot.
Initial scanner reports of an incident on Main Street came in around 8:45 a.m. When a Fox 40 crew arrived around 9:30 a.m., the area between Laurel Ave ad Clarke Street was still blocked by police patrol cars and crime scene tape. There was no ambulance on the scene at that time and no victim was observed in or near the vehicle.
