Strong Start Powers Ponies to Second Straight Win Over New Hampshire
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies won their second straight game over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5-3 Wednesday night at Mirabito Stadium. Right fielder Carlos Cortes went 2-4 with 2 RBIs on the night while center fielder Jake Mangum also went 2-4 with 2 runs scored. Luis Carpio belted his second homerun of the year, a 2-run shot in the third inning. Starter Adam Oller pitched 5 and a third innings, allowing 2 earned runs and striking out 6 Fisher Cats.
The two teams are back at it tomorrow night at Mirabito Stadium, first pitch is set for 6:35pm.
