Today the Binghamton Black Bears of the Federal Prospects Hockey League released a look at their logo and uniforms.

Black Bears Owner Andreas Johansson says they went with green because it is the official color of the City of Binghamton.

Along with the logo and uniform release the team made a few more announcements. Johansson says they have begun selling season tickets, they are reaching out to all Binghamton Devils season ticket holders and offering them the chance to renew their seats. He says they have a number of promotional nights planned including nights that will feature appearances by professional athletes. He says they will be releasing more information on that at a later date. Johansson says the support they've seen from the community since the announcement of the Black Bears coming to Binghamton is overwhelming.

"It's been unbelievable, both corporate partners as well as fans have really reached out and really taken to the product," says Johansson. I think the fans are really excited to have live sports coming back. I think they like our lower ticket prices and are really excited about what they've seen from the product so far. And from corporate we couldn't have asked for more support. Everyone we've talked to has been real supportive and love the community aspect of what we're trying to do here."

The Black Bears home opener will be on November 6th at the Visions Federal Credit Union Veterans Memorial Arena against the Delaware Thunder. Their first couple games of the 2021-22 season will be on the road.
