We head out to Walton for today’s senior spotlight athlete to talk about a 3-sport athlete that shattered some school records along the way. Meet Dylan Jacob.

Jacob was a member of the Warriors football, basketball and baseball teams. A captain on all three teams, he played crucial positions on them as well such as quarterback, point guard and shortstop. He was part of a MAC Championship on the Warriors basketball team and a Divisional title with the football team. Jacob will also be leaving Walton as arguably their most decorated basketball player ever as he holds program records for career points, assists, steals and made threes.

He says he’s looking forward to his next chapter but will always cherish the tight knit community he grew up in.

“It was always great knowing the small community I have is such a great community and had your back no matter what,” says Jacob. “You’d wake up Saturday mornings getting ready for a football game knowing the entire town would be there ready to support you and have your back, it was always great to have.”

Off the field Jacob was a member of Varsity Club and the Sources of Strength Program. In the fall Jacob will be heading to Elmira College where he will study Sports Administration and play on the basketball team. He hopes to become either a basketball coach or athletic director.
