Binghamton attorney and sitting Town of Union Justice Veronica Gorman has announced she is running for Broome County Family Court Judge.

Gorman cites her experience as a prosecutor and current town justice as qualifiers for the job. She also says she's spent a large portion of her career advocating for child victims.

“Throughout my career, I have always fought to seek justice for children. I have spent many days in my office, coloring at my desk with children as they disclosed the worst possible acts committed against them.  I saw them through the process including grand jury and trial to ensure their voices would be heard, and they were,” Gorman said in a press release.

Gorman is the third attorney to throw their name into the race. Hollie Levine and Stephen Cornwell are also running. Gorman and Cornwell are both republicans and will face off in a primary.
