If you're in the market for a new banquet hall to cater your gathering, you may want to visit Riverdale Banquet Hall, in Endwell.

Formerly Brother's 2, Riverdale opened its doors for business Tuesday, joined by the Binghamton Chamber of Commerce, Town of Union board members, and well-wishers for a ribbon cutting ceremony and banquet.

Attendees were treated to an elaborate venue with beverages, delicious food including; homemade pizza, garlic twists and....yum, yum, yummy baklava.

Owner and operator Steve Anastos said this establishment is now available for any reception purpose. He said Riverdale is willing to accommodate anyone to make the perfect day, including the 'stressed out' bride-to-be.

"I say if you have a wedding, good food, good music, you have the best wedding ever. That's what we are looking for and everybody is excited because we are giving good food. People know that and that's why they're supporting us," said Steve Anastos.

Steve is no stranger to the food and catering business. He owns the Broadway Diner in Endwell and has his fingers in multiple businesses. But Riverdale has always been a dream of his, and now that dream has come true.

"I always wanted a Banquet Hall, separate from the restaurant. Now, I'm happy...I'm just so happy," said Anastos.

It's estimated that Steve and his family spent around $1.5 million to purchase (formerly Brothers 2) and renovate the interior and exterior of the building. But despite the cost, he can hang his head high knowing he finished what he set out to do....create an immaculate banquet hall called Riverdale and supply it with a great venue and great food selection, including phenomenal baklava.
