On Friday at approximately 11:00 am, the Chenango County Sheriff’s office arrested two men they say are responsible for committing multiple burglaries in Chenango County. The men are also said to have committed several more throughout the Southern Tier and Northern Pennsylvania.


The two, 28-year-old Nicholas N. Neer from the Town of Port Crane and 27-year-old William M. Polhamus from the Town of Greene, are said to be responsible for committing two burglaries in the Town of Greene as well as another burglary in the Town of Oxford.


They are alleged to have forced entry into homes or garages, where they are said to have stolen various items. The investigation is continuing and additional arrests will be made.
