Two Binghamton Brothers Arrested for Filing False Reports of Child Abuse
Two Binghamton brothers have been arrested after police say they filed false reports of child abuse.
A state police investigation determined that 39-year-old Charles Clauson made six false reports to the New York State Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment Hotline between June and September of this year. His accusations were allegedly made against his ex-girlfriend in the Town of Lisle. On top of that, his 48-year-old brother Albert Clauson was arrested separately for making one false report to the same hotline, regarding a person who investigators determined to be a family member.
Albert Clausen has been sent to Broome County jail on $250 bail. His younger brother Charles has been issued an appearance ticket for Town of Lisle court.
