A Johnson City man has died as result of an accident in Town of Binghamton early this morning.


Troy McIver, a 29-year-old from Johnson City, was in a 2004 Lexus being driven by Endicott resident Jemark Ballenger. Ballenger failed at a left hand turn just after 3am on Hawleytown Road. He stuck a tree on the side of the roadway. Both men flew out of the car.


McIver was pronounced dead at the scene while Ballenger, the driver, suffered a compound fracture to his right thigh bone and right arm.
