Whether you take the bus, drive, or walk, you have a good reason to head to Davis College next weekend. The school is hosting a concert on Saturday, august 29th to raise money for the backpack program. that program helps send food home with children in need over the weekend during the school year.


Organizers hope to raise over $20,000, enough to feed 170 children in the union-Endicott district for the school year. "You will have an opportunity to sponsor a child that night. it's $125 to sponsor a child and that feeds that child every weekend for the entire school year," said Davis college professor sheila Eldred.


The worship band "when oceans rise" will headline the concert. admission is $5, a price organizers hope leaves attendees some room to donate more to the backpack program.
