Students Beautify Village of Windsor
Students are collaborating to beautify the Village of Windsor.
The Windsor Public Achievement Team worked with students in SUNY Broome's Public Achievement course for Spring Planting and Cleanup Day.
The goal of the program is to get local children involved with their community.
Students from Windsor elementary school pulled weeds and planted flowers in the village green and by their village community house.
They also planted a tree near their school.
"I think that we've inspired other people to do something for their community. It could be something as little as picking up some garbage or as big as planting a tree," said Fourth Grader at Windsor Elementary School Lucy Beattie.
Each elementary student received a certificate after the project as recognition for their community services.
