Police: Binghamton Man Accused of Identity Theft and Grand Larceny
A Binghamton man faces a number of felony charges after police say he opened a NYSEG account in another person's name and stole services by never paying towards the account.
57-year-old Timothy Rypkema is charged with grand larceny, falsifying business records and identity theft, all class E felonies. Police say Rypkema stole approximately $1,500 in services from NYSEG. Rypkema will return to the Town of Union court at a later date.
