Are you tired of baking? Well here is a way for you to escape the kitchen while supporting a good cause.
Today, the First Ward American Legion post 1254 took holiday cookie orders. Their building has been falling a part and they hope to repair it with the funds raised by their bake sale.
"The bake sale is a way to generate some funds to get some very much needed repairs for the American Legion post 1254. They've been a major major hub of the ward, here on Clinton St. for decades. They are really kind of reinvigorating themselves and bringing that back," said Binghamton City Council, Councilman Elect, Giovanni Sciringi.
They are selling a variety of cookies including, nutcups and biscotti. Orders will be accepted until December 21st.
All proceeds will go to reparing the roof for the veterans.
