Robbery, Kidnapping Arrests in Owego

An Endicott man is facing several felony charges after police say he forced his way into the home of a Citgo gas station employee, kidnapped 3 people and demanded his victims take him to the Citgo station on Main Street in Owego where he stole an undisclosed amount of money.
Tioga County Sheriff's say 29-year-old Jeffrey Whitmore was arrested after a brief foot chase Monday morning. He's charged with robbery, kidnapping and burglary and is being held at the Tioga County Jail without bail
Wendesday sheriff's arrested 30-year-old Herbert Truesdail in connection with the robbery and charged him with burglary, which is a felony. He's also being held in the Tioga County Jail without bail.
Investigators have also charged the two in connection with a strong armed robbery at the John Barleycorn Tavern on Front Street in the Village of Owego on Christmas Eve. Both were sent to the Tioga County Jail on $150,000 bail in that case.
