Starting on July 8th, Fox 40 wanted to honor the Southern Tier's Sports Legends and opted to list the Top 40 Most Impactful Local Sports Figures of All Time.
On Monday, August 19th, Fox 40 will begin unveiling the list's Top 10 (one inductee will be listed per weeknight on Fox 40 News at Six & 10). Below are the first 30 inductees on the list with a quick description of their impact. For their full story, click on their picture. Inductees are included based on both their local impact and influence on the greater sports world as a whole. Number one will be revealed on Friday, August 30th.
