UPDATE: Police Say Man Killed One Woman, Injured Another During Conklin Shooting

UPDATE 11:30am: A Binghamton man has been arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder after police say he shot two women at a Conklin Rd apartment complex.
The incident happened around 12:20am. Police say 45-year-old Lance R. Johnson shot and killed one woman, while injuring another. The injured woman is being treated for a gunshot wound to her hand at Wilson Hospital.
Police say the individuals involved did know each other, but they are not revealing their relationship at this time.
Johnson fled the scene in a vehicle and officials say he was apprehended by City of Binghamton Police. Johnson is a Binghamton resident.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE: New York State Police are investigating a reported shooting in the area of 1205 Conklin Road in the town of Conklin. Officials say the report came in around 12:20am on Friday.
Police have not released information about who was involved or if anyone was injured, but do say it's believed to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.

At 9am, troopers were still on scene and had the driveway between 1205 and 1207 Conklin Road taped off. The two buildings are multi-resident apartment houses, with 1205 holding 12 units according to Broome County Real Property records. The buildings are listed as being owned by Conklin Road Apartments LLC.
