Early Morning House Fire on Colesville Rd a Total Loss
Multiple fire agencies spent the morning hours of Monday battling a house fire on Colesville Rd in Kirkwood, declaring the home a total loss after the blaze engulfed most of the home's interior.

Reports of a house fire at 316 Colesville Rd, Kirkwood, came into emergency services at roughly 7:45 a.m. Witnesses claimed they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the building, on the east-side.
According to Broome County Fire Coordinator Jeff Buckler, when the Five Mile Point Fire Department arrived they began battling the flames coming from the rear home.
Buckler said residents at 316 Colesville Rd suffered no injuries during the incident. Colesville Rd was shut down from the locations of Fox Hollow Road to the DOT Service Rd on Colesville.
The cause of the fire or where it may have begun is still unknown at this time. The Broome County Bureau Fire Investigation and NY State Police are handling the investigation.
