The force was with a lot of people for the opening night of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Thursday.

The highly anticipated film is set about 30 years after "Return of the Jedi". The film brought back some of the original cast like Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Carrie Fisher as Leia. The film also brings in new members to the Star Wars family, like Lupita Nyong'o playing new character Maz Kanata.

The opening night attracted many people who came to the theater dressed as their favorite characters from head to toe.

This film is expected to have one of the largest box office opens in the history of films. According to Box Office Mojo, the film has already made over $100 million in ticket pre-sales, bypassing the record previously set by The Dark Knight at $25 million.
