New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced he and the Attorney General for Pennsylvania are co-chairing a new multi-state task force to fight heroin.

The group is inviting District Attorneys and law enforcement officials to share ideas and issues they've had in fighting the growing epidemic. Broome County Attorney General Gerald Mollen plans on being part of the task force and says having a group like this could lead to legislation aimed at fighting heroin.

"More, smarter, better ideas and also more influence because the more people that agree on a subject when you're trying to get legislation you're chances of having it passed increase dramatically," said Mollen.

The task force will meet for the first time next week.
